Who is Overcomers?

Overcomers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a sisterhood for female breast cancer survivors. Our mission is to assist survivors with their physical, spiritual, emotional and financial needs through the parameters of our various programs.

The vision for the organization is to provide our survivors with a place where they can be real in sharing their needs, build strong foundational relationships, and walk out their journey in victory. We focus on healing from the inside out with God as the foundation in all that we do. We believe in giving back and encouraging our team to serve others in their circle of influence. We believe that by utilizing the resources we have through our 9 week workshop, Thrive to a Beautiful You workshop, caregiver and spouse workshop, Beauty in the Brokenness retreat, Pink Under The Tree outreach, financial assistance programs, and various volunteer opportunities throughout the year to spread awareness, we can help rebuild lives one piece at a time.

We offer a 9-week faith centered workshop for breast cancer survivors in the spring and fall every year, one-day workshops for the spouses of breast cancer survivors, annual retreats for breast cancer survivors, and adopting breast cancer families during the holidays. These classes focus weekly on different topics and address many of the concerns that face breast cancer survivors following active treatment. Our purpose in scheduled workshops is to draw each survivor towards wholeness with God as the center of their healing. As a sisterhood of breast cancer survivors, we are active in our local communities raising awareness for breast cancer initiatives and monetary funds towards our goal of supporting those initiatives. We remain diligent in bringing awareness and support to more women about the different physical, mental, and spiritual needs of breast cancer survivors. Through your generous gifts, donations, and prayers we can all make a difference in the lives of women and families who have walked through their breast cancer journeys.

Encourage

We believe that every women that has faced breast cancer should be encouraged to rebuild their lives. Many times they are left with questions of what now, why did this happen to me, how do I move forward?

Equip

We know that without application there is no real change. We have designed a program that gives survivors the tools they need to help them walk through all that has happened to them. Cancer will always be a part of our lives but it doesn’t have to define who we are.

Empower

We understand the hurts and pain that survivors endure with a breast cancer diagnosis because all of our leadership team are survivors. We walk hand in hand with our pink sisters by providing them with compassion, a listening ear, a place to be real and to show them that light can shine through brokenness onto wholeness.
